The memorial of the Soviet Red Army soldiers in battle was originally located in the center of the square in front of Shenyang railway station, facing Zhonghua Road. The memorial has been moved to the Soviet martyrs cemetery in Beiling. The monument was built in late August 1945 and completed in October of the same year to commemorate the Soviet tank soldiers who died in the liberation of Shenyang. The body of the monument is a square column, built with granite strips, with a height of 24.27 meters. It is divided into three parts: the top, the body and the base. The height of the monument is about 18.4 meters. On the front of the monument, there are three-dimensional five pointed stars with sickles and axes on the top, the national emblem of the Soviet Union on the middle, and the Russian inscription "glory belongs to the great Soviet army" on the bottom. On the left and right sides of the stele, there is a large Medal of lead sickle and axe, and the name of the martyr is made of copper. A bronze tank model, 4.5 meters high, was placed on the top of the monument. Located in the center of the square of Shenyang south railway station, it was built to commemorate the martyrs of the tank troops of the Soviet Red Army who died in the war of liberation of Shenyang in August 1945. The construction started in August 1945 and was completed in October of the same year. It is a square columnar stele built of granite, with a height of 24.27 meters.

In August 2006, the memorial of Soviet soldiers who had been standing in Shenyang station square for 61 years needed to be moved due to the construction of subway project. According to the wishes of the two peoples, the two foreign ministries agreed to move the monument to the Soviet martyrs' cemetery in Beiling after consultation. The relocation work was highly praised by the Russian Ministry of defense and the Russian Embassy in China. On December 22, the relocation and completion ceremony of the Soviet martyrs' monument was held in the Soviet martyrs' cemetery, and the relocation and completion were completely over. Xing Kai, vice mayor of Shenyang, muravsky, Russian Consul General in Shenyang, and zinchenko Alexander, military attache of the Russian Embassy in China attended the ceremony.
