Zhaitan village in Shangzhuang Town, known as "the treasure of village archives", is one of the most famous ancient villages in Jixi and the provincial demonstration site of farmers' cultural paradise. The only village level cultural museum in Anhui Province, South Anhui ancient village cultural museum, has officially opened. There are nine exhibition rooms in the museum, displaying more than 1800 documents of clan and village affairs in Zhaitan village since Jiajing of Ming Dynasty. Among them, there are the earliest and unique genealogy of Hu clan in Longjing of Ming Dynasty, the genealogy of Hu clan in kaochuan of Ming Dynasty and the genealogy of Longchuan School of the Republic of China. In addition, there are documents, financial, economic and personal files of various periods since the founding of the people's Republic of China, as well as a wealth of physical files such as seals, tax stamps, food stamps, vouchers and big character newspapers.
The complete literature and History Archives of Zhaitan have made many experts and scholars marvel at it, and have used it as a case study base of village governance. Beijing University, Tsinghua University, Huazhong University of science and technology, Nanjing Agricultural University, Anhui University, Shanghai University and many other universities also pay attention to Zhaitan Qingyan, and set up the teaching practice base here.
