Qiongshan guild hall

Qiongshan guild hall is located on Jiefang East Road, Lingcheng Town, Lingshui County, Hainan Province. It was built in 1921 with donations from Qiongshan businessmen. It covers a total area of 1100 square meters. The structure is a three in two-story courtyard. The first entrance is a mountain gate. A stone plaque is inlaid on the top of the gate, and the title is "Qiongshan guild hall". In the middle of the hall, there is a wooden carving screen, and two patios separate the three entrances. The first and second entrances are built into riding ridges. The second entrances have porches before and after the second entrances. The roof is suspended mountain style, and the second and third entrances are two-story pavilions. The water dripping from the hook is green glazed tiles, and the floor is paved with red bricks and stone slabs. The appearance is ancestral hall style architecture. On December 16, 1927, the first Soviet regime in QiongYa, the Soviet government of Lingshui County, was born here.

After the liberation of Hainan, the county cultural center and Yelin commune were set up here. On December 16, 1979, Guangdong Provincial Government approved it as "the second batch of key cultural relics protection units in Guangdong Province". At the end of 1981, the Department of culture of Guangdong Province allocated 60000 yuan for renovation. In early November 1983, Lingshui County Museum was set up here. In the Spring Festival of 1985, it was open to the public. On November 2, 1991, Hainan Provincial Government approved the former site of Soviet government in Lingshui County as "the first batch of key cultural relics protection units in Hainan Province". In November 1992, it was approved as "Hainan youth revolutionary traditional education base". In the autumn of 1996, the county government listed it as a "national defense education base". In the same year, it was awarded the glorious title of "national excellent patriotism education base" by the State Administration of cultural relics.
