Riguangyan temple, located at No. 60-62, Huangyan Road, Gulangyu Island, was first built in the 14th year of Wanli period. In September 1999, the overall planning transformation was completed.

Riguangyan temple was registered as a place of religious activities in 1998 with the registration number of xiazong 02104 and the person in charge Xie Lihua.

Brief introduction to temples

Riguangyan temple is located in riguangyan, Gulangyu Island, Xiamen City, Fujian Province. The origin of the name

Riguangyan temple was built at the foot of the mountain. Whenever the sun rises, the sun is shining on the rocks and the temple, so it is named. Riguangyan temple is the only way to riguangyan. The temple stands close to the mountain, and the part connected with the sunlight Rock Scenic Spot has no wall. On the other side of the gate, there is master Hongyi's handwriting. It seems that it should have been a relatively simple temple, but when I saw that it was being decorated that day, the new decoration was less historical.

Master Hongyi once lived in riguangyan for several months. When I came back to see "Li Shutong talking about Buddhism", I mentioned it when I talked about the experiences of Southern Fujian for more than ten years. Later, in the Li Shutong Memorial Hall of Hupao in Hangzhou, there were many manuscripts written by master Hongyi, etc. this kind of font has its own style. After entering the gate of riguangyan temple, you can walk a few steps to get to this round gate. It's not only a good way to get to riguangyan from here, but also saves time. On that day, there happened to be an old man who took us to listen to the radio all the way, listening to his introduction, and soon arrived at the top of sunlight rock.

Layout structure

Several buildings in the courtyard are scattered clearly, and the style of carved beams and painted buildings is obviously Minnan school. Because it was morning, the tour group had not come up yet, so there was no one else in the courtyard except two fragrant residents and a few decoration workers.

Listening to the sound of Buddhist scriptures and the chirping of birds, I feel peaceful. Standing in the center of the courtyard, looking around, from the drum tower, bell tower, and then up, you can see the stone carving, and then up is the blue sky. It turns out that when you radiate upward in this way, you find that the space is more and more open. That's the beauty. If there are many tourists, there is no way to enjoy it, and the sight is blocked. This is the back of the drum tower near the gate of sunlight rock. The advertisement is obvious, the distant Xiamen city raises the eye to be visible, can divide approximately in this front line mood difference.
