It is said that a long time ago, a brave hunter named Wu Tianlong came out of Gouliang Miao village. He is smart and brave. He has learned a good archery skill. He shoots birds and dies. He shoots eagles and dies. He is really hit with a hundred shots. The Miao people call him the archer. There is an old mother in Wu Tianlong's family who is over 70 years old. He is very filial to her. Day by day, year by year, the jackals, tigers and leopards on the mountain have been killed. Although the Miao people are no longer afraid of the invasion of beasts, their hard life is like a bottomless pit. They can't get through it. Tianlong's mother and son still live a life of food deprivation.

One day, Wu Tianlong came back from hunting in the mountain and said to his mother, "mother, all the jackals, tigers and leopards in the mountain have been killed by my child's Magic Arrow, but there are more and more jackals, tigers and leopards in the world. We have been oppressed by the government, and we can't live any longer. I'm going to lead the Miao family to revolt and kill the government, so that everyone can have a good life." The old mother worried and said: "son, this is a matter of beheading. I only have a son like you. What can I do if there is a problem?" Tianlong saw his mother sad and comforted her quickly, saying: "old mother, don't worry about the child. I have my own way. The dog government is as fierce as tiger and wolf. Seeing his mother's acquiescence, Tianlong jumped up happily.

From then on, Wu Tianlong got up early every day to practice his skills. He cut cherries that had grown up for three years from Longshan to make a bow. He also made bowstring with palm rope that had been soaked for seven to forty-nine days. He collected three magic arrows from the Dragon Cave in Longshan and prepared to shoot the emperor when he was sitting in the morning.

On that day, Wu Tianlong made all the preparations and told his mother, "when the emperor sits in court tomorrow, I'll shoot him to death with a magic arrow. Don't go to bed tonight. After waiting for a long time, she didn't hear the rooster crow. She was so tired that she began to doze when she sat down. Afraid of her son's mistake and unable to wait for the rooster to crow, she went to the kitchen and brought a dustpan to fight. At the sound of "Pa Pa Pa", the chicken crowed. She was so happy that she hurried into the room where her son was sleeping and woke him up.

Wu Tianlong thought it was really the rooster crowing, so he picked up the prepared bow and arrow, climbed up to the top of the moon, facing north, pulled up the bow and put on the arrow, and used up his magic power. Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Three arrows in a row shot at the Emperor's palace. It's a pity that the Emperor just went to the court, and when he got to the throne, he suddenly saw three magic arrows shooting at the golden dragon pillar. When the news came to Gouliang Miao village, Wu Tianlong realized that he had been teased by his mother and didn't shoot the emperor to death. He immediately summoned the Miao people of 9981 village to practice their skills every day and prepare for a fight with the government.

Soon, the emperor sent people and horses to Miaoshan. Wu Tianlong led the Miao people to fight with the government for seven days and nights, killing officers and soldiers. There were lots of officers and soldiers, but there were fewer and fewer volunteers. Because he was outnumbered, the rebel army was defeated. Wu Tianlong was captured by the government. He was brave and unyielding, and was finally killed by the soldiers. After Wu Tianlong died, he became a big rooster, standing high on Gouliang mountain, telling the Miao family the dawn every day and calling for light. Today, on Gouliang slope, there are remains of Jigong rock, Jigong village, archery platform and so on.

The day Wu Tianlong was killed happened to be the sixth day of the sixth month of the lunar calendar. In order to commemorate the hero, the Miao family held a gathering in Gouliang Miao village, singing, singing and dancing, in order to praise their hero and express their beautiful pursuit and yearning. Since then, the "June 6" Miao Song Festival has been handed down from generation to generation.
