Miaofeng Temple Twin Towers

Miaofeng Temple twin pagodas are located in Suizhong County, Liaoning Province, at the foot of the Great Wall, yonganbao Township, tazigou, Miaofeng Mountain. There are two ancient pagodas facing each other from east to west.

Tazigou with Yanshan vein, Miaofeng Mountain is in tazigou. The precipices and cliffs are everywhere, and the situation is extremely dangerous. The valley is deep and narrow, and roe deer and fox can jump in and out of the stream. In the Liao and Jin Dynasties, a temple was built around Miaofeng Mountain, which was full of incense. There are two pagodas in the temple, one big and one small, all of which are of masonry structure. The tower is 24 meters high, octagonal and 9-level, with a side length of 2 meters. The body of the pagoda is engraved with "relic pagoda granted by Emperor Tianzuo of Liao Dynasty". The small tower is about 10 meters high, with five steps and six corners. Its shape is similar to that of the big tower.

Because of the name of the mountain, the name of the pagoda and the name of the pagoda, the sound spread far away. At the end of Ming Dynasty and the beginning of Qing Dynasty, a group of anti Qing troops disguised as monks hid in Miaofeng temple. They often went out of the mountain to attack the Qing army. Later, because of the spies, the Qing soldiers came here, designed to lure and kill monks and set fire to the temple. The fire has been burning for months, the ancient temple has been turned into ashes, and the twin towers have been in good condition.
