Dayu National Forest Park is located at the intersection of the northeast edge of the Qinghai Tibet Plateau and the Loess Plateau in Zhuoni County, southwest Gansu Province. Zhuoni county is located in the southwest of Gansu Province. The total area is 27625 hectares, the average altitude is 2400-4920 meters, the forest coverage rate is 86.7%, the annual average temperature is 8-9 ℃, the climate is humid and the scenery is pleasant. Walking in the forest, the ancient trees are towering, the canyon is deep, the grass is luxuriant, the water is murmuring, as if stepping into a paradise. It is not only rich in tourism resources, but also contains the primitive civilization of the early Tibetan and Qiang people. It is a geological museum with rich information. At the same time, it is also a national forest park with historical and cultural value, scientific research value and natural scenery ornamental value.

Dayu National Forest Park is located in Zhuoni County, Gansu Province, covering an area of 27625 hectares. It is a high mountain canyon type forest park. According to the mountain landform, it is divided into four scenic spots: Qibu temple, ajiaogou, bailigou and anziku.

Development and construction

Dayu National Forest Park was approved as a national forest park by the State Forestry Administration at the end of 2003 after being approved by the provincial forestry department in October 2002. Later, with the strong support of Taohe Forestry Bureau and the leadership of the Forest Park Management Committee, 85% of the subgrade works of ajiaogou highway (5.38km) and the construction of 8 bridges and 4 small wooden houses were completed. On October 17, 2002, it was approved as a provincial forest park by the Forestry Department of Gansu Province;

On December 23, 2003, Dayu National Forest Park of Bailongjiang Forest Management Bureau, Taohe Forestry Bureau, Gansu Province was approved by the State Forestry Bureau;

In 2006, it was approved as a provincial Geopark by the Provincial Department of land and resources.

In 2007, it was rated as one of the ten nature scenic spots in Gansu Province by the provincial tourism administration, AAAA scenic spot by the National Tourism Administration, and ten trump scenic spots by Gannan Prefecture.

Tourism information

Traffic self driving from Zhuoni County - Guya bridge - S306 - Duoba bridge - Dayugou National Forest Park, about an hour's drive. The long-distance bus takes the shuttle bus to Zhuoni county at Lanzhou south bus station: Lanzhou Yeliguan Zhuoni, two shifts a day, leaving at 6:30; Lanzhou Hezuo Zhuoni, one shift a day, leaving at 6:30. It costs about 200 yuan to charter from Zhuoni county to Dayu National Forest Park.
