Collection

China is known as the "silk country" and the birthplace of silk industry. The soft and breathable properties and colorful varieties of silk not only win the favor of Chinese people, but also enjoy a high reputation abroad. In the prelude Hall of Sichuan Silk Museum, we can see that the statue of Leizu, the mother of silk, is located in the center of the museum. The huge silk shuttle car tells the long history of silk development. The silk costumes in the four exhibition areas around show four important periods of China's Silk Art Development: Han Dynasty, Tang Dynasty, Qing Dynasty and Republic of China.

Sichuan Silk Museum is composed of seven pavilions: Prelude Museum, silk Origin Museum, ancient Sichuan silk dialect Museum, contemporary Sichuan Silk Museum, green silk museum, silk road music and Dance Museum and silk experience Museum.
