Gaoershan Park

Gaoershan Park covers an area of 240 hectares. It is a comprehensive municipal park integrating natural forests and historical sites. It is also the only park built on the ancient city ruins in the province. The terrain of the park is fluctuating, with an altitude of 80-230 meters. There are royal classical garden buildings, such as Suoyang Huaiyin, Suoyang tower, side hall, octagonal pavilion, pentagonal Pavilion and corridor. There are nine level octagonal pagodas with dense eaves in the Liao Dynasty more than 900 years ago, and Guanyin Pavilion in the Qing Dynasty.

Gaoershan ancient pagoda

Gaoershan ancient pagoda is a witness of history. It was built in 1088 ad. after nearly a thousand years of wind and rain erosion, gaoershan ancient pagoda stands majestically and takes the lead. It is the earliest existing ancient pagoda in Fushun area, with a height of 14.10 meters and a diameter of 6.8 meters. The whole pagoda is octagonal, with octagonal and nine level eaves structure. The shape of the pagoda is simple and the layout is rigorous, which fully reflects the ancient Chinese craftsmanship The craftsman's intelligence and superb skills, not far from the ancient pagoda, there is an ancient temple called "Guanyin Pavilion". The ancient temple runs across the hillside and forms a picture with the mountain leading tower.

Goddess of Mercy Pavilion

Guanyin Pavilion is located at the waist of the south foot of Gaoer mountain, which is composed of upper and lower courts. The temple was built in the third year of Chongzhen reign of Ming Dynasty and rebuilt in 1994. It is a provincial-level cultural relic protection unit. Guanyin Pavilion is a place of religious activities approved by Liaoning Provincial Bureau of religion. It has a very high influence in the Buddhist circles of Fushun City. Now it is the seat of Fushun Buddhist Association.
