Longpan Park

Longpan park is located between oluanbi and wind blown sand. Longpan grassland is located in the park (in fact, it's a lawn. It's not so big at all. It's just called that).

This area belongs to the rising limestone platform. Because limestone is easy to be dissolved by water, there are limestone caves, seepage caves, cliff collapse, laterite and other topographical landscapes in the area. In the park, there is a prairie, from which you can see the winding coast from the steep cliff. This area has less light damage, so it is suitable to watch the sunrise and the starry sky at night.

Longpan Park, located beside jiae highway, is a limestone platform formed by a raised coral reef. It is also listed as one of the four major landscapes of Kenting National Park because of the karst effect of limestone, which causes the peculiar terrain landscape such as fissure, seepage hole and limestone cave. Due to the vast terrain, facing the vast Pacific Ocean, especially when you climb the Shanghai cliff, you have a broad vision. The green space on one side, the vast sea view in front of you, the green mountains in the distance, and the clear blue sky with white clouds all give you a panoramic view. You can't help but wonder at the natural beauty. In addition, there is no light damage at night and there is no barrier around it. It is a good place to watch the stars. Take Taiwan Railway to Kaohsiung station, transfer to Hengchun station or Kenting station, and then take a taxi.

Practical information

Kenting has a tropical climate with an annual average of 24 degrees, which is suitable for tourism all year round. The weather in Kenting is hot in summer. From October to next April, the climate is slightly cooler than that in summer, and there are fewer tourists at this time.

Longpan park is located in the southeast of Hengchun. It belongs to a rising limestone terrain. Therefore, the dissolution terrain in the area is very developed. You can see limestone cave, seepage cave, cliff collapse and other terrain, which is very novel and interesting.
