Cold rock

Cold rock, Tiantai Mountain Cave, known as "cold rock cave.". It is 15 meters high, 48 meters wide and 78 meters deep. It used to be called "qianzhen cave" because Mi Fu, a great calligrapher of Song Dynasty, wrote the word "qianzhen" in the cave. Hanshanzi, a well-known vernacular recluse poet at home and abroad in the Tang Dynasty, lived here for a long time. There are "Tortoise" and "snake" at the entrance of the cold rock, which are formed by natural rocks. Especially the stone snake, as big as a thick column, comes out of the ground and looks up at the sky. There is a big stone at the entrance of the cave, which is called "banquet sitting stone". It is where hanshanzi sits.

"Cold rock sunset"

On the right half of the mountain of Hanyan cave, there are two cliffs facing each other. There is a stone bridge in the middle. The height of the bridge cave is five or six meters. There is no water under the bridge in winter and summer, so it is called dry stone beam, also known as "magpie bridge". A hundred steps to the left of the cave, the cliff is like a mountain peak, about 100 meters high. A flying spring is hanging. It looks like beads and foam, sparse and dense. The setting sun shines on it. The beads and foam are shining. Especially after the shower, the rainbow hanging in the rock, dazzling. This is the origin of "cold rock sunset".

"Three wins"

Mingyan, in the northeast of "Hanyan cave", is famous for "three victories": one is "five horse shadow", the other is "mantis fishing for toads", and the third is "monk back Taoist". "Five horse shadow" is on the South Cliff of "Han Shi Er Da Shi memorial tower" in Mingyan. The cliff is about 8 meters high and 5 meters wide. The plane of the cliff is as flat as a chip. The traces of five horses on the cliff are different in posture. They are naturally caused by the rock pattern. But people prefer to believe that they are the traces left by Taizhou's governor, Lu Qiu Yin Wu Kuaiqi, chasing hanshanzi. "Five horse shadow" next to a huge rock, towering, shaped like a column, more than 40 meters high, round 20. Domi, flying in all directions. There are old shrubs growing on the top of the rock, and there is no way to go. From a distance, it looks like an upright Mantis. Once upon a time, there was an old vine hanging from an old tree on the top of the rock to a big rock like a three legged toad, which was crouching under the pillar rock, so it was called "mantis catching toad". It's a pity that this ancient vine was cut down forty or fifty years ago. "Monk carrying Taoist priest" is on the cliff on the left side of the entrance, like a monk wearing a monk hat carrying a Taoist priest with a bun on his head. His head, shoulders, hands, body, waist and other parts are very similar.
