Daba Forest Park

Daba Forest Park is located in the north end of Nanjiang County, 92 kilometers away from Guangwu mountain and nuoshui river. It is deep in the heart of Micang mountain. It is rich in forest resources and well preserved vegetation. Broad leaved forest, coniferous forest and mixed forest constitute a natural forest kingdom. It is also the only remaining primeval forest park in Northeast Sichuan.

Development history

The mountain of the dam has the beauty of Emei; the forest of the dam has the tranquility of Qingcheng; the water of the dam has the clarity of Jiuzhai. In 1997, the dam was approved as a "Forest Park" by the provincial forestry department. Its stratigraphic structure is mainly pre Sinian marble, metamorphic rock, schist and other primary rock layers, a large number of exposed, strange shape, rose into Xiaohan, a spectacle. Qingxi river passes through the dam.

Dam is not only a plant kingdom, but also an animal kingdom. Golden cat, a national first class protected animal, macaque, clouded leopard, forest musk deer, leopard, and maoguan deer, a national third class protected animal, otter, great civet, Tibetan gazelle, Xuling, red bellied Tragopan, white crowned pheasant, red pheasant, and 18 thrush birds of different species and genera can be seen in the forest at any time. Reptiles and amphibians are also common in Daba forest park. Located in the big and small Langou of the dam, there are 50000 mu of Bashan Qinggang, which is a rare tree species in the world. In 1982, the Forestry Department of Sichuan Province decided to establish "Dabashan Qinggang forest ecological nature reserve".

Main attractions

Daba, Taoyuan and Dajiangkou are the three sisters of Daba Mountain scenic spot with beautiful scenery. They are called the unique scenery in northern Sichuan by tourists. Daba Forest Park is different in four seasons: a hundred birds sing in spring, flowers bloom in summer, thousands of peaks are like fire in autumn, and snow is wrapped in winter. It has attracted many poets, masters of painting, writers, film and television directors to visit and sing poems.

Daba Forest Park is characterized by high mountain view of forest sea and low dam view of clear spring. This scenic area is purely a natural primitive ecological area, with more than one meter thick litter, luxuriant branches and leaves of various rare trees, dense moss and winding vines. Sleeping in the forest area at night, I can hear the roar of wild animals. I feel very kind. This is the best fusion of man and nature. There are hotels and farmhouses in the forest area. The roads are unobstructed and have been preliminarily developed.
