There are more than 200 households and more than 1000 people in the village, which still retains the customs of the Dong nationality.

The village covers an area of 120000 square meters. The ancient Dong village was built in the Hongwu year of Ming Dynasty. It went through the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and then suffered from fire. After several reconstruction, it has become today's pattern. A large number of buildings before the middle of the Qing Dynasty can still be seen, including four drum towers, three Fengyu bridges, one gate tower, two ancient wells, two sasui altars, six ancient tombs, 1.6km ancient post roads, 183 households and 851 people.

When you enter the village, the first thing you see is a valley type Dong village, with more than 50 dwellings lined up. After more than 100 years of smoke and fire, some wooden columns and walls are shining. Lusheng Drum Tower stands high in the village, with nine dense eaves and Lusheng roof style buildings. Then along the ancient post road, you come to Yashang village, which is built on the ridge of the mountain. From the bottom of the mountain, it seems that many stilted buildings are lined up by the mountain. To climb the ridge, you have to climb 108 steps along the Qingshiban, which was built in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty. All of them were paved with Qingshiban made by exploration and construction. Zhuge Liang, the Prime Minister of Western Shu, captured Meng Huo seven times in those days, once walked through this post road. The Chinese workers' and peasants' Red Army held a historic meeting of "changing troops through the channel" through which the red army moved westward, and some of them also set foot on the road Crossing the taro world, I enter Guizhou with the bluestone board on the ancient post road. When you walk along the stone road to the foot of the mountain, you can see an ancient well under the well shed surrounded by green stone slabs on all sides. The well is clear to the bottom, and the handwriting of 50 years of Qianlong can be seen on a stone slab nearby. For hundreds of years, this ancient well has nourished generations of taro villagers.

They are hospitable and polite. When you enter the Dong family, whether you know them or not, they always greet guests with smile and call you in. On New Year's day or a major event in the village, people spontaneously repair bridges and roads, and clean the drum tower, pavilion and village roads. The flavor food here is very special. The staple food is rice, Camellia oleifera, bitter wine, Dongba and so on. Pickled dishes are the best dishes for guests, as well as crisp and delicious sour cucumbers and beans.

Folklore experts believe that the application of the traditional Canyu theory in the real life of Dong minority areas is from the site selection and building layout to the planning of the village's coordination with the surrounding environment and people's clothing, food, housing, transportation and sacrifice. According to the local conditions, all kinds of buildings in the village are arranged separately according to the mountain situation and fengshui, forming the trinity of natural scenery and man-made creation, which fully demonstrates the simplicity, honesty and intelligence of the Dong nationality. The architecture of Dong village in taro belongs to the typical ridge type and valley type. Because the architecture in the village contains all the contents of Dong architecture, experts from China folk architecture research association call it the "physical museum" of Dong architecture. Taro Dong village has become a tourism ethnic customs and red tourism hot spot in our county.

Tangping Fengyu Bridge

It was built in the 7th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of Qing Dynasty, built in the third entrance hall of Shangtuan, and rebuilt in the 10th year of the Republic of China, with a construction area of 10 square meters.

Satan

It was built in the Ming Dynasty. It is divided into two parts: the SAMA altar and the SAMA altar. The SAMA altar is fan shaped, 4.5 meters wide and 4.1 meters deep, with a stone platform structure and a high sacrificial platform inside. There are three pines and cypresses in Satan, which are distributed in a triangle. There are two in the front and one in the back. The depth is 6 meters. The platform is built with soil, and the height of the platform is 1.5 meters.

Charm of Gujing

Built in the 50th year of the reign of Emperor Qianlong, there is a well tablet beside it, and the characters are blurred. Since its construction, the well has not dried up all the year round, and its water is sweet and delicious. It is said that people drink this well water to cure diseases and prolong their life. Women drink noodles like peach blossoms and keep their youth forever. Men drink it to strengthen their kidneys and spleen and keep their health strong.
