Maoping Village

Maoping village is a village under the jurisdiction of Fuchunjiang Town, Tonglu County, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province. It is located in the southwest of Tonglu County, Southeast of Fuchunjiang Town, and in the middle of Dashan gorge in Luzi (baiyunyuan) River Basin. Next to Hangzhou Xinjing expressway, 320 National Road, through 20 provincial road direct. The total area is 29.1 square kilometers, including 35908 mu of mountain forest and 783 mu of land. The population is 1263, seven of whom are surnamed Hu. It is now one of the main villages (nodes) in Fuchunjiang rural slow life experience area.

In March 2020, Maoping village was recognized as a good governance model village in Zhejiang Province in 2019 by Zhejiang Provincial Rural Revitalization leading group office.

Since the founding of the village in the song and Yuan Dynasties, it has a history of more than 900 years. It is surrounded by mountains on three sides. From the north to the south of the village, an ancient road paved with pebbles passes through the village. Many literati come to the village for sketching, especially Xie Jin and Li Qi. They bring the crew to our village to make movies. Because of the special geographical environment, the architectural style of the buildings at that time was unique, which can be proved by the preserved ancient buildings. At present, there are well preserved "Wen'an building" and "Hu's ancestral hall" at the county level, as well as a large number of ancient residential buildings in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The women's Dragon team organized by the village has also participated in the "West China Expo" in Hangzhou for many times.
