Daxi Village

Daxi village is located in the south of Anji County, bordering Lin'an County. It covers an area of 31.4 square kilometers. It governs 13 natural villages, including Daxi, Xianglushan, Guijia, caojia tuhu, Zhangjia, taoshuwu, changchanglongshan, Shangpei, longchitang, daheshan, lichanglongshan, Shiling and hengkengwu. The village committee is located in Daxi. The village is named after nine small streams which converge into a big stream. In Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Fuyu township of Xiaofeng county. It belonged to Nanyu Township in 1949 and Daxi Township in the spring of 1950. Daxi senior agricultural and forestry cooperative was established in 1957, and Xiaofeng county was merged into Anji County in November 1958

At that time, it was the Daxi production team of Qingshan people's commune. In 1961, it was the Daxi production brigade of Shanhe people's commune; in 1984, it was renamed Daxi village, belonging to Shanhe township. In 1992, it belonged to Tianhuangping town.
