Qushui Bridge
Qushui bridge is located on the Yarlung Zangbo River in the west of Qushui County, Tibet. It starts from Lhasa and runs about 60 km southwest along the Lhasa River to Qushui bridge.

Cross the bridge and drive about 40 km eastward along the Yarlung Zangbo River to Gongga Airport. To the right is the road to yangzhuoyongcuo. Qushui bridge is the throat of Lhasa to Gongga Airport.
Lhasa River is a tributary of the Yarlung Zangbo River. It has a wide river surface and gentle flow. There are many sandbars and shrubs in the place where the riverbed is high. Qushui bridge was completed and opened to traffic on August 1, 1966. It is about 300 meters long and 10 meters wide.
Transportation hub
Qushui bridge is an important transportation hub with strategic position. The famous national highway 318 passes through the north of the bridge, and the east section leads to Sichuan Tibet highway and Yunnan Tibet highway. Through Xigaze in the West and Zhangmu port in the south, it leads to Kathmandu in Nepal, namely China Nepal highway and Xinzang highway. It connects Qinghai Tibet highway through duilong Deqing County in the north. Qiaonan connects with the vast southern Tibet. At the east end is gongze highway, which is connected with 318 via Bayi Town of Linzhi, and at the west end, it goes down to the South via Gyangze and leaves the country via Yadong, connecting with gantok in Sikkim. It can be said that all important highways in Tibet have to pass through the Qushui bridge. Therefore, the bridge is heavily guarded and there are no street lights on it. At night, passing vehicles are not allowed to turn on their headlights.
