The excellent modern architecture of zhenwuchang in Jiangjin is the first in Chongqing. Among 152 excellent modern buildings selected by Chongqing in 2010, Jiangjin accounted for seven. Among the seven, there are five small zhenwuchang, ranking first in Chongqing.
Zhenwuchang was originally a wasteland of weeds. After the middle period of Kangxi, Hakkas from Hunan, Jiangxi, Fujian, Guangdong and other provinces continued to come here to pioneer and cultivate. With the increase of immigrants, the multiplication of descendants, and the prosperity of family business, they began to build family temples and guildhalls. Zhenwuchang was known as "nine palaces and eighteen temples" in those years.
