Pan'an Weilong house

Pan'anwei is located at the east foot of malingding, Hexi village, Yetang Town, Xingning City. It was built in 1895 by Jichang, the 17th generation of Liu family. Sitting from west to East, it is a layout of three halls and four horizontal Wai dragon houses, with a total width of 105.2 meters and a total depth of 53.6 meters. The building covers an area of 5060 square meters and a distribution area of about 15000 square meters. It is supported by rammed earth wall and wood stone frame. The top of the mountain is hard with grey tiles. The central axis consists of three halls and four horizontal rooms. Behind the horizontal room is a half moon shaped dragon. In front of the hall is a rectangular Heping. In front of the Heping is a half moon shaped pond. The central axis building is a square hall with 21 large and small patios separated by patios. There are turrets around. There are 122 rooms in total. On both sides of the hall are the north and South Hall, study, wing room, flower hall, bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, etc. The half moon shaped enclosed houses are connected with the horizontal rooms, with flower heads inlaid with "five elements Fengshui stone". Facing the central axis, the house in the middle of the top of the dragon is the Dragon hall, a sacred place for worshiping gods. All patios, steps, corners of rammed earth wall and most door frames are reinforced and paved with stone strips. On both sides of the Weilong house, there are pestle room, cattle house, pigsty room, stables, sundries room, toilet, etc., realizing the separation of human and animal. There are many light and dark gun holes in the outer layer of the dragon house. There is also a lookout hole at the top of the quadrangle. The design is that there is no dead angle for shooting and the defense function is complete. There is mountain spring water behind the house, and underground wells and canals are used to lead directly into the house, which is concealed. The production and living functions are complete. If there are enough materials in reserve, you can live in Weilong house for one year without leaving home. In 2009, it was rated as the top ten ancient dwellings in Xingning City.
