Taichung Institute of criminal affairs

Taichung criminal affairs office martial arts arena (also known as Daohe Liuyi cultural center) is the only remaining martial arts hall in Taichung during the Japanese rule period. It was built in 1937 as a martial arts training center for the prison officers of Taichung criminal affairs office (now Taichung prison). The martial field has a strong Japanese style. The courtyard, layout and architectural style are full of Japanese feeling, which is rare. The museum is not open to the public at ordinary times, but there will be open visits on some special days. See the notice outside the museum for details.
