Huaqiao new village is one of the two famous villas in Guangzhou, and has been listed as a cultural relic protection area by the government. The community has become a paradise of its own, with trees and flowers, and 24-hour security patrol. It is not too much to say that it is the most suitable residential area for people in Guangzhou.

General situation

Huaqiao new village (Hu á Qi á ox ī NC ū n) is located in the east of Guangzhou city. Huanghuagang Park in the East, Taojin road in the west, Huanshi East Road in the South and guangjiu railway in the north. It used to be a barren hill. In 1955, the "overseas Chinese New Village preparation committee" was formed by returned overseas Chinese, and construction started in May of the same year. It was built in 1958 and named "new overseas Chinese village". Covering an area of 680000 square meters, there are 177 garden style independent courtyards, 291 apartments, and Guangzhou Overseas Chinese foreign language school. It is the first and largest overseas Chinese residential area in China's big cities built in the 1950s after the founding of new China, with a total construction area of 120000 square meters. Most of them are 2-3 stories, small western style buildings with small gardens and elegant green environment. It is a typical community of overseas Chinese and their relatives.

Huaqiao new village is located in Huanshi East Road, Dongshan District, adjacent to Taojin and Huanshi East large commercial district, surrounded by Dongfeng Road, Huanshi Road, Hengfu road and other trunk roads, with convenient access, prosperous and quiet. Entering the new overseas Chinese village is like going to the suburbs. It is in sharp contrast to the commercial building on Huanshi road. You may suspect that you are in the center of Guangzhou. With 60% of the high-density green space and the proximity to Huanghuagang Park, the new overseas Chinese village is like a big oxygen bar.
