Mianyang Teachers College

In 1940, Mianyang LIANLI women's junior high school and the simple normal school run by the provincial Mianyang middle school merged into Sichuan Mianyang school (the predecessor of Mianyang Normal School).

In 1965, with the approval of the Ministry of education, Sichuan Mianyang junior high school teacher training class (the predecessor of Mianyang Normal College) was established in Shitang Town, Mianyang City.

In 1986, Mianyang Municipal People's Government approved the establishment of Mianyang Teacher Training Center (the predecessor of Mianyang Branch of Sichuan Institute of Education).

In 1994, Mianyang Normal College was officially renamed as Mianyang Normal College.

In 2000, Mianyang Normal School was integrated into Mianyang Branch of Sichuan University of education.
