Miaoyin Temple

--Miaoyin temple is the only Tibetan Buddhist temple in Jilin Province. It adopts the characteristics of combination of Chinese and Tibetan, according to the Chinese traditional axial symmetry architectural pattern, and has unique architecture.

--The whole temple has white walls, green tiles and golden roofs. The brown red bianma wall sets off the golden bronze mirror, temple emblem, Baoding and Falun, which is magnificent.

--The main hall is the central building of Miaoyin temple. On the white platform, there is a three story hall, which is mainly for the Golden Buddha III.

--The ten thousand Buddha Hall is the highest and largest Buddha Hall in the temple, which is a combination of Han and Tibetan architecture.

Miaoyin Temple

Miaoyin temple, also known as Baxian cave, is located in group 1, Qinghe Village, Qinggang street, Bishan District, Chongqing. Miaoyin temple is located on the hillside of Jinjian mountain in Bishan County. It is said that the eight immortals once traveled here and missed the beautiful scenery. They once lived here and left the eight immortals cave, observation chair and other scenic spots. Miaoyin temple has the main hall, eight immortals viewing hall, thousand hands Guanyin hall, eight immortals cave and other buildings and scenic spots.

Miaoyin temple, originally named Miaoyin temple, is located on the Bank of Chagan Lake in the former Gorros grassland of Jilin Province. After renovation, it was changed into Miaoyin temple. It is the only Tibetan Buddhist temple in Jilin Province.

brief introduction

Miaoyin temple was built in 1755 (the 20th year of Emperor Qianlong of Qing Dynasty). It was originally built by Yundan Zamusu, the first living Buddha of "shaplong" in the front banner of Guoerluosi, for the birthday of Emperor Qianlong. After several times of construction, to the end of the Qing Dynasty due to disrepair moved to the site. The original Miaoyin temple was destroyed during the land reform at the beginning of liberation. In 2000, with the approval of the people's Government of Jilin Province, the reconstruction was resumed. The new and old sites of Miaoyin temple are about 1.5km apart. The area around the old site has become a residential building, and now it is Miaoyin temple village. In July 2002, the first phase of the project was completed and opened to light. There are more than 500 houses in this area, including Buddhist hall, sutra hall, living Buddha house, BeiCang, Dongcang, Xicang and so on.

Today's Miaoyin temple is characterized by the combination of Chinese and Tibetan. According to the Chinese traditional axial symmetry architectural pattern, there are Mountain Gate, Tianwang hall, Daxiong hall, Wanfo hall in turn. There are bell tower, Drum Tower, east-west monk's room and east-west accessory hall on the left and right. On both sides of the main hall, there are white pagodas of Tibetan tradition. On the left is the longevity pagoda, on the right is the Peace Pagoda. In front of the pagoda are ancient tree fossils symbolizing the temple's permanence. There is Baiyin Oboo in the front yard and Erdeni Oboo in the back of the temple. The southeast corner of the courtyard is the Dragon King temple. The temple covers an area of 6 hectares with a construction area of 8127.5 square meters.

From the lakeside square, a wooden plaque of "Miaoyin Temple" carved in Mongolian, Tibetan, Manchu and Chinese characters is hung on the high mountain gate. On both sides of the high mani poles, prayer flags are displayed, and two stone lions stand around. The gate is a two-story Tibetan style building, magnificent. In the center of the Mountain Gate hall, there is a large rotating tube for believers and tourists to rotate.

The first hall into the mountain gate is the heavenly king hall, and the bell tower and drum tower are on the left and right. On the horizontal plaque of the temple of heavenly kings, it is written "Fa Lun Chang Zhuan", followed by "good luck and health" and "more than enough money". Inside the hall are Maitreya Buddha with a big belly, dorozha, the king of the East holding the lute, piliubo fork, the king of the South holding the Qingyun sword, piliubo fork, the king of the West holding the Chenlong, and the king of the North holding the silver rat. The Dharma protector of Weituo faces the Buddha and sticks horizontally behind Maitreya Buddha.

The main hall is the central building of Miaoyin temple. On the white platform stands a three story hall, with a total height of 19.99 meters. Through the steep 19 steps in front of the hall (symbolizing long-term eternity), it is a spacious turning road surrounded by white imitation white jade railings along the hall. The main hall of Mahavira is dedicated to the third generation Buddha with golden body.

The last floor is the hall of Ten Thousand Buddhas, the highest and largest in the temple, also known as the Great Buddha Hall. Because there are Buddhist scriptures on the third floor, it is also called Sutra Pavilion. The hall is also a combination of Han and Tibetan architecture. Outside the hall, there are two platforms surrounded by imitation white jade railings. Beside the channel formed by the platform on the first floor, there are 108 mani tubes. 27 steps in front of the hall lead directly to the hall door. There are 36 square red pillars in the main hall, which go straight to the top of the building. In the center of the hall, there is a wooden statue of Buddha standing in gold lacquer, 18.99 meters high and 14 meters wide. It is a statue of Avalokitesvara with thousands of hands and eyes. Its Dharma body is the first Buddha standing in Northeast China. There are niches around the Great Buddha, with ten thousand statues of Guanyin worshipped by the residents. Therefore, this hall is called the hall of Ten Thousand Buddhas. In front of the hall of Ten Thousand Buddhas, there are bodhisattvas hall and Dharma protection temple on both sides, which are dedicated to eight Bodhisattvas, five Dharma protection and three pharmacists.

Miaoyin Temple Museum is located on the first floor of dongpeidian, covering an area of 200 square meters. The museum will display the history of Tibetan Buddhism and Miaoyin temple, including Buddhist relics, books, materials and legends.

Dragon King is also a Dharma protector in Tibetan Buddhism. In order to ensure good weather, abundant grain and prosperous livestock, Miaoyin temple built a Dragon King Temple in the southeast corner of the temple. Longwang temple is a Han style building with large eaves and corridors. It is three rooms wide and surrounded by white jade pillars. There are 118 dragon designs carved on the pillars. In the middle of the steps in front of the hall, there is a 2-meter-long and 2.5-meter-wide cloud dragon relief, on which the two dragons play each other. The cloud water is churning, and the carving is exquisite and unique. In the center of the hall, the Dragon King is worshipped. On both sides of the hall are the Dharma protector of the God of wealth and the Dharma protector of the emperor Guan. The wooden shrine is exquisite and the Buddha statue is solemn. The Longwang temple is full of fragrance. It has a sense of good weather and people's health.
