Heilongtan Reservoir Scenic Spot

Heilongtan reservoir is located in Heilongtan Town, Renshou County, Meishan City, Sichuan Province, China. It is known as "the first sea in Western Sichuan". It is a large reservoir with irrigation and water supply, flood control and aquaculture functions. The upstream water is diverted from Dujiangyan through Dongfeng canal. A total of 1319 canals (divided into ganzhidou nongmao 5 levels) have been built in the whole irrigation area, with a total length of 3692.30 km, irrigating 1.21 million mu of cultivated land in Renshou, Jingyan and Jianyang. In 1986, Heilongtan was designated as one of the first provincial scenic spots by Sichuan provincial government
