Xijin Lake Scenic Spot

Xijin Lake scenic spot is located in the southwest of Hengxian County, named after Xijin power station. It is 5km away from the county and 120km away from Nanning, the capital of Guangxi. The transportation is convenient. It takes about 2 hours to arrive from Nanning. Xijin lake is the largest inland lake in the south of China. It is more than 100 kilometers long from east to west and 1400 meters wide from north to south, with a total area of 240 square kilometers. The mountains of Xijin Lake stretch like dragons and snakes, and the water of Xijin lake is broad, deep, green and beautiful. The scenery of the lake and the mountains are integrated into one, and the atmosphere is myriad. Xijin scenic spot is a scenic spot integrating "sightseeing, vacation and leisure, conference and business, popular science education, fitness and entertainment". In 2005, Xijin Lake scenic spot passed the evaluation of the first batch of "Guangxi industrial tourism demonstration sites". In 2006, it passed the evaluation of "national industrial tourism demonstration sites" and "national AAA scenic spots". At the same time, it is also the popular science education base of Nanning Hengxian patriotic education base. In 1964, Xijin Hydropower Station, the first low head hydropower station in China, was built. The total installed capacity of Xijin power plant is 234000 kW, with an average annual generating capacity of 1 billion kw.
