Huangqi Town is located in the northeast coast of Lianjiang county, Fuzhou City. It is in the center of Huangqi peninsula. It is connected with Telu town in the East, Ankai Township in the west, Mazu islands across the sea in the South (the nearest area between the two sides is 8000 meters, which is the nearest area from Mazu island in mainland China), and the South Bank of Luoyuan Bay exit in the north. The coastline on the north and south sides is 21 kilometers long, the highway mileage in the town is 31 kilometers, and the town is 99 kilometers away from the provincial capital Fuzhou. The total investment of the project is more than 57 million yuan. It is planned to extend 200 meters on the basis of a 500 meter breakwater, reclaim 160000 square meters of land, and build 15 berths. At present, the project is under construction. Mariculture and fishing industry has always been the pillar industry of Huangqi Town. The offshore fishing industry, light operation near inland sea, mariculture and other industries have developed well. At present, there are high-quality varieties such as kelp, oyster, mussel, abalone, grouper and so on. A total of 270 million yuan has been invested in abalone breeding in the town, forming a large-scale and industrialized development mode integrating onshore breeding base, industrialized breeding and hanging culture on the sea. The town gives full play to the advantages of large quantity and high quality of seafood, vigorously develops aquatic products processing and transportation, and further extends the marine industrial chain. Aquatic products processing, ship building, shipping industry has become a new bright spot of our town's economic growth.

Huangqi Town is also the distribution center of industrial and agricultural products of six towns in Huangqi Peninsula, with large passenger flow. Therefore, the commercial trade of our town is relatively developed, and there are more than 500 commercial outlets in the town alone.
