Yao Nationality Museum

Jinxiu Yao museum was founded in 1991, with a total construction area of more than 1300 square meters. It is the first Yao Nationality Museum built after the founding of the people's Republic of China. The museum is divided into two exhibition halls. The exhibition hall on the first floor mainly displays Yao culture, customs, history of Yao revolutionary struggle, Yao production, living utensils and unearthed cultural relics. The exhibition hall on the second floor mainly displays Yao silver ornaments and Yao costumes. Jinxiu Yao museum is the epitome of Yao society. There are more than 90 sets of Yao costumes in 58 categories collected from all over the country and overseas. It is the museum with the largest number and the most complete types of Yao costumes in China. These gorgeous costumes fully reflect the aesthetic taste of the Yao people and their yearning for a better life. They are the most beautiful flowers in the traditional Yao culture.

China Yao Museum (Guangdong Yao Museum) is an important measure taken by Liannan Yao Autonomous County Party committee and County People's Government in response to the strategic decision of Guangdong provincial Party committee and provincial government to build a "culturally strong province". China Yao Nationality Museum (Guangdong Yao Nationality Museum) is located in the demonstration area of voluntary immigration in the alpine mountainous area of Liannan Yao Autonomous County, covering an area of 47.75 Mu and a construction area of 14566 m2. It was planned in 2009, started construction in December 2010, and completed in December 2012. The hall is built according to the national three-level hall standard. Its design is novel. Its majestic appearance is integrated with Yao culture elements such as red headscarf, Diaojiaolou and changgu. Its main tone is red and black. The whole appearance is gorgeous, elegant and solemn, implying the colorful Yao culture and the enduring and indomitable spirit of the Yao people. Qianmen is the music square of Yao dance music, which is a drum shaped wetland ecological park. It goes directly to the opposite river road. The theme of the exhibition in China Yao Nationality Museum (Guangdong Yao Nationality Museum) is "Yaoling long song", which is divided into ancient tracing, Yaoshan spring and Autumn period, ancient rhyme Liufang, skilled craftsman and Yao embroidery workshop. With a clear historical context and a cultural perspective, this paper comprehensively and systematically shows the history and culture of Yao nationality in the four branches of Yao nationality in China and even in the world. At the same time, there are multi-function demonstration hall, 60th anniversary achievement exhibition hall of Autonomous County, urban and rural construction planning exhibition hall of Autonomous County, two temporary exhibition halls of 1000 square meters, conference room, reception hall and other comprehensive functions. Guangdong Yao culture research base, Guangdong Yao Embroidery Research and development base and Liannan Yao Autonomous County youth education base are set up to carry the historical, social, economic and cultural information of Yao nationality in China and even the world, as well as the research, development, utilization and inheritance of Yao culture. The purpose is to build a national influential professional museum of Yao history and culture, build a spiritual home for the unity and progress of the Yao people, and make positive contributions to the protection, inheritance, rational utilization and development of Yao culture.

Anhui Shuian Construction Co., Ltd. and Guangdong Zhujiang film and Television Co., Ltd. won the bid respectively to be responsible for the construction of the main project, interior decoration and exhibition. Since May 2011, he has organized teams to go to Guangxi, Guizhou, Yunnan, Hunan and other places, went deep into Yao District, visited villages and households, and conducted extensive investigation and collection on the history and culture of 30 branches of the four branches of Yao nationality. From March to April 2012, he went to Vietnam and Thailand to carry out the exchange and investigation of Yao culture. In October 2012, county magistrate Zheng Yuanping personally led the team to France to carry out exchanges and Research on Yao culture, enhance understanding, forge friendship and achieve fruitful results. Our collection of Yao cultural relics has received strong support from the Provincial Institute of ethnic and religious studies, scholars and experts from Guangdong, Yunnan, Guizhou, Thailand, France, the United States and other places, as well as from the local bureau of people and religion and other departments. The exhibition work is strongly supported by Guangdong Institute of ethnic and Religious Studies and Guangdong Museum. As of October 2012, 20541 Yao cultural relics and objects have been collected through acquisition, allocation and donation. Guangdong Museum of Yao nationality in China is the most systematic and complete professional museum of Yao nationality in China.
