Historical evolution

In the 34th year of the Republic of China (1945), the school's predecessor, Guangxi Fulin normal school, was founded.

In the spring of 1952, it was renamed Yulin Normal School.

In August 1958, with the approval of the Education Department of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, it was upgraded to Guangxi Yulin Teachers College.

In 1978, with the approval of the State Council, it was restored to Yulin Teachers College.

In 1994, it was renamed Yulin Teachers College.

In 2000, with the approval of the Ministry of education, Yulin Teachers College, Yulin Institute of education, Yulin vocational and technical college and Yulin Branch of Guangxi Radio and Television University were merged and upgraded to Yulin Teachers College.

In 2013, it became a new master's degree awarding unit in Guangxi.

In 2014, it became a new master's degree awarding unit in Guangxi.

In 2015, it was identified as one of the four Pilot Universities for comprehensive reform of higher education in Guangxi and the only application-oriented university in Guangxi; in the same year, it was approved as the overall transformation and development pilot University.

In 2016, it was selected into the "100 schools project" cooperation colleges of China according to the Ministry of education.
