Historical evolution

The origin of the predecessor

Initial construction

1、 North China tax school, central tax school

On November 6, 1949, North China tax school was founded.

In February 1950, the central taxation school was established on the basis of the North China taxation school.

In June 1952, the central taxation school was merged into the central finance college.

2、 Central College of finance, Central College of Finance and Economics

In September 1951, the Central Institute of finance was established.

In August 1952, the Central College of Finance merged with the economic departments of Peking University, Tsinghua University, Furen University and Yanjing University to form the Central College of Finance and economics.

In August 1953, the Central Institute of Finance and economics was abolished.

3、 Central finance cadre school

In April 1953, the Central Financial Cadre school was established.

In 1953, the first batch of graduate students majoring in national budget and finance were recruited.

From August to December 1953, the Central College of Finance and economics was abolished, and some teachers were incorporated into the National People's Congress and Peking University. All the staff of the former central taxation school and the Central Institute of finance, as well as some teachers and students of the Economics Department of the four schools, stayed in the original site to undertake the central finance cadre school. Rong Zihe, Secretary of the Party group and executive vice minister of the Ministry of finance, served as the president.

In 1956, he received the first batch of foreign students from New China and trained the first batch of foreign students majoring in economics.

4、 Cadre school of the head office of the people's Bank of China

In May 1954, the cadre school of the head office of the people's Bank of China was established.

Later establishment

1、 Central finance and finance cadre school

In December 1958, the cadre school of the head office of the people's Bank of China and the central finance cadre school merged to establish the central finance and finance cadre school.

After 1960, it had two brands with the Central Institute of finance.

In 1969, the school was forced to close, and in 1979, it was re listed.

2、 Central College of financial management

In July 1983, on the basis of the central finance and finance cadre school, the central finance management cadre college was established.

In 1988, the Institute was established independently under the leadership of the Party committee of the Central Institute of finance; in 1989, the Party committee was established independently.

3、 Central College of finance, Central University of Finance and Economics

In January 1960, the Central Institute of finance was established. It was forced to close down in 1969 and resumed in February 1978.

In May 1996, the Central College of Finance changed its name to the Central University of Finance and economics.

In 1997, finance was approved as one of the first batch of key disciplines of the Ministry of finance.

 

Merger development

In December 1998, the Central College of financial management was incorporated into the Central University of Finance and economics.

 

In 2000, the school was transferred from the Ministry of finance to the Ministry of education.

In October 2003, the post doctoral Management Office of the former Ministry of personnel (now the Ministry of human resources and social security) approved the post doctoral research mobile station of Central University of Finance and economics to set up the post doctoral research mobile station of Applied Economics. In 2004, the first batch of post doctoral researchers were recruited.

In 2005, it entered the national "211 Project" key construction universities.

Since 2005, it has successively become the receiving institution of Chinese government scholarship for international students in China and the implementing institution of Confucius Institute Scholarship of Hanban.

In December 2006, it became one of the first batch of universities to build the national "985 Project" advantage discipline innovation platform.

 

In 2006 and 2007, the University successively became the first batch of universities of the Ministry of education's "National College Students' cultural quality education base" and "National College Students' innovative experimental program project".

In September 2010, approved by the Ministry of education, the Central University of Finance and economics carried out the pilot work of comprehensive reform of undergraduate education.

 

In the same year, the University became the national "pilot University of financial application-oriented innovative talent training mode reform" and the Ministry of education "pilot University of comprehensive reform of professional degree graduate education".

 

In October 2011, the Graduate School of Central University of Finance and economics was established on the basis of the former graduate department.

In 2012, it became a University jointly built by the Ministry of education, the Ministry of Finance and the Beijing Municipal People's government.

 

In May 2012, it was rated as "National Graduate Employment typical experience university" by the Ministry of education.

In November 2016, it was selected into the national "111 plan".

 

In September 2017, it was selected into the list of the first batch of "double first-class" world-class discipline construction universities.

Department setting

As of December 2018, the Central University of Finance and economics has 19 Departments and 51 undergraduate majors, with the right to set up undergraduate majors in economics and management.

 

Faculty

As of December 2018, the Central University of Finance and economics has 1774 faculty members, including 1210 full-time teachers. There are 311 professors, accounting for 25.70% of the total number of full-time teachers, 462 associate professors, accounting for 38.19% of the total number of full-time teachers, 890 doctors, accounting for 73.55% of the total number of full-time teachers, and 45 experts who enjoy the special allowance of the State Council.
