Yangbaoshan

Yangbaoshan is 1566 meters above sea level, covering an area of several thousand mu, with a construction area of more than 6000 square meters. It includes the front mountain and the back mountain. The front mountain is called Lianhua Mountain, and the back mountain is called feifeng mountain. The front and back mountains are connected and echo each other from afar. It is called feifeng stepping on lotus, with profound artistic conception and vivid image. The Lotus Temple on the mountain was built in the Jiajing period of Ming Dynasty. In the 24th year of Wanli (1594) of the Ming Dynasty, the mountain monk Baiyun came here. Seeing the wonderful scenery of the mountain, he built a thousand pagodas.

Yangbaoshan is located 10 miles north of Guiding County in Guizhou Province. It is known as "the victory of eastern Guizhou" in literature. As early as Ming and Qing Dynasties, it was known as the three famous Buddhist mountains and pilgrimage sites in Southwest China together with Mount Emei in Sichuan and mount Jizu in Yunnan. During the Jiajing period of Ming Dynasty, the famous Lotus Temple was built on the top of Lianhua Mountain, the main peak. At the peak of incense, there were more than 200 monks.

In the back mountain, there are some grand buildings such as feifeng temple, immortal cave for self-cultivation of master Baiyun, the founder of the mountain, and more than 200 pagoda forests for monk graves, which are rare in South China, unique in Southwest China and unique in guiding. They were built from the beginning of Kangxi (1661 A.D.) to the end of Guangxu. The highest pagoda tombs are more than 4 meters. Qiu Heshi, Qiu Hejia and other great Confucian celebrities of all ages once read in the evening by holding candles here, leaving many precious ink treasures. According to the research, in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Lianhua temple was the Senggang division of Guizhou (Senggang division was made in Hongwu Period of Ming Dynasty).

Traffic situation

You can take the train from Guiyang to Duyun, about an hour and a half's drive; you can also take the long-distance bus from Guiyang to guiding, and take Guixin expressway, about an hour's drive. The scenic spot is just in the suburb. You can take a taxi to Baoshan or Dexin town after you go to the county. After arriving at Wenjiang temple, it takes 2 hours to walk or take a motorcycle for half an hour to reach Qianshan.
