Jilin Longwan Group National Forest Park, located in Huinan County, Jilin Province, is the largest crater lake group in China.

Development history

Approved by the Ministry of forestry of the people's Republic of China in 1992, it is a national AAAA scenic spot and a national popular science base. In 2005, it has passed the ISO9000 quality management system and ISO14000 environmental management system certification. The park is planned as ten scenic spots - "seven bays, one waterfall and two roofs", namely Triangle dragon bay, Dalong Bay, Erlong Bay, Xiaolong Bay, Donglong Bay, Nanlong Bay, Hanlong Bay, DIAOSHUIHU waterfall, Jinlongdingzi mountain and sifangdingzi mountain.

In 1992, it was approved as "sanjiaolongwan National Forest Park" by the Ministry of forestry. In 1999, it was renamed as "Jilin Longwan Group National Forest Park". It is a national AAAA scenic spot and a national popular science base. In 2005, it passed the ISO9000 quality management system and ISO14000 environmental management system certification.

Jilin Longwan Group National Forest Park is located in the middle of Longgang mountains of Changbai Mountain system, Huinan County, Jilin Province, with an average altitude of 880 meters and an area of 8102 hectares,

Longwanqun National Forest Park has complex terrain and peculiar landform, with an altitude of about 500-1000 meters. The soil is dark brown forest organic soil, the annual average temperature is - 1.4 ℃, the maximum temperature in summer is not more than 30 ℃, the minimum temperature in winter is not more than - 40.8 ℃, and the rainfall is 1020.7mm. There are four state-owned forest farms, including Jinchuan forest farm, sanjiaolongwan forest farm, Dalongwan forest farm and yushucha forest farm, two towns and 12 natural villages.

Four seasons scenery

Longwanqun National Forest Park in Jilin Province has obvious seasonal characteristics, such as blooming flowers in spring, gorgeous wild rhododendrons, cool and pleasant waterfall in summer, red maple in autumn and rime in winter. Main attractions

Jilin Longwan Group National Forest Park is composed of ten scenic spots of "seven bays, two roofs and one lake". They are Dalongwan, Erlongwan, sanjiaolongwan, Xiaolongwan, donglongwan, nanlongwan, hanlongwan, Jinlongdingzi, sifangdingzi and diaohuihu. There are more than 80 scenic spots in the scenic area. Longwan is a low level crater lake formed by explosive eruption of volcanic basaltic materials in paleogeological age, which is called Maar Lake in geology. Longwan is very similar to the seven Longwan which are arranged in the shape of seven stars and Big Dipper. The average water depth is about 50 meters, and the deepest can reach about 100 meters. These dragon bays are just like some shining pearls inlaid in the mountains. Its quantity, distribution, morphology and preservation are the first in China. According to the preliminary certification of relevant departments, the Longwan group is the largest crater lake group found in China.

Dalong Bay

It is located about 1km south of jinchuantun, Jinchuan Town, with an altitude of 629m, a water area of 81 hectares and a maximum water depth of about 88m. It is the largest Longwan among the seven Longwan in Longwan Group National Forest Park. According to experts' estimation, it was formed about 1.5 million years ago. It belongs to the low level crater lake, namely maarlake. The water quality is pure, surrounded by mountains, and the ecology is excellent, showing the beauty of broadness and beauty. The main scenic spots are Luhua Island, Diaoyutai, Guanyin cave, Longtan palace and so on, especially when the Rhododendron blooms in Longwan in May.

Triangle dragon bay

It is located in the east of jinchuantun, Jinchuan Town, 6 km away from Dalongwan, with an altitude of 687 meters, a water area of 42.6 hectares and a maximum water depth of 97 meters. It was formed about 600000-1 million years ago. It is a conjoined crater lake formed by more than two volcanic eruptions and also belongs to Maar Lake. Triangle dragon bay coast twists and turns, dangerous walls, strange peaks, deep green water, magic graceful, with the beauty of xiongxiu. It's named for its triangular water surface. In the center of the lake, there is an island like flying stones in the sky, isolated in the water, white clouds and clear water. The ecological wonders such as yingxiabi, sanjianfeng and bailongquan decorate the Triangle dragon bay picturesquely, with the scenery at the head of Zhulong Bay.

Hanlongwan

Located in the southwest of sanjiaolongwan, it is only separated by a ridge, and can be reached directly along the 320 meter plank road. The area of Hanlong Bay is 4.5 hectares and the maximum water depth is 1.5 meters. It is the ecological landscape of the volcanic crater lake as a forest wetland. In early spring, there are many waterfowls and full of vitality. With the coming of summer, the purple iris flowers are blooming, the breeze is blowing, the butterflies are flying, the bees are dancing, the amusement projects are challenging the limit, the adventure is exciting, and it is the best resort for forest recreation.

Donglongwan

It is located about 1.5 km south of donglongwantun, Jinchuan Town, with an altitude of 832 meters, a water area of 47.5 hectares and a maximum water depth of about 126 meters. It is the roundest, deepest, clearest and best preserved crater lake among the seven Longwan zhongyuankou in Longwan park. It is also the most typical and perfect Maar Lake. The relative height of the cliff around the lake is more than 70 meters, the trees are high and the forest is dense, and the ecosystem is complete and excellent. It's the most dangerous show. There are mainly seven star spring, flying cliff, general cave and other scenic spots. According to historical records, General Yang Jingyu, the hero of the Anti Japanese Federation, once worked with the Japanese army here. But it presents the empty mountains and wild waters, the singing of birds and the singing of springs, a school of tranquility and serenity. Nanlong Bay

It is located about 0.5km to the east of nanlongwantun, Jinchuan Town, with an altitude of 620m, water area of 25 hectares and maximum water depth 72 meters or so. According to experts' research, it is also a conjoined crater lake formed by more than two volcanic eruptions. Therefore, the lake wall mouth is shaped like a "gourd". The water reflects the blue sky, the tree shadows are whirling, the scenery is elegant, and the scenery is winding. It enjoys a beautiful reputation. It is a paradise for summer fishing in midsummer. It is located 2 kilometers southwest of wujiabanzitun, Jinchuan Town, 3.5 kilometers away from Dalongwan, with an altitude of 530 meters. The water area is 27.5 hectares, and the maximum water depth is about 35 meters. Yuankou is similar to donglongwan. It is also a typical Maar Lake, with undulating mountains, excellent ecology and beautiful scenery. Xiaolongwan

It is located 2.5km southwest of Dalong Bay and 1.5km away from Erlong Bay, with a water area of 12.5 hectares and a maximum water depth of about 27m. The lake is shallow with dense reeds and quiet environment. It is an ideal habitat for waterfowls. Diaohuihu waterfall

It is about 3.5 km southeast of Dalong Bay. The Xiangshui River, which originated in the Longgang mountains of Changbai Mountain system, flows through it. The volcanic movement caused the river bed to fall, forming a waterfall about 4 meters high and 13 meters wide. The water is flowing like a jade ball, just like a huge kettle hanging in the forest, so the local people call it "DIAOSHUIHU". Xiangshui river originates from more than 2600 meters underground. It flows all the year round and has a normal temperature of 7C. It is a low mineralized metasilicic acid high-quality mineral water with excellent quality of Changbai Mountain mineral water. It is cool in summer, foggy in winter, winding bridge and plank road. It is quiet and charming, fresh in forest wind, refreshing in heart, singing in birds and spring, and forgetting things. With an altitude of 1233.3 meters, the highest basalt volcanic cone in Longwan scenic area is also the highest peak in Huinan County, with an open and flat peak of about 30 hectares. Located in DIAOSHUIHU scenic area, 1 km to the east of Houhe forest farm in the downstream of Xiangshui River, 8 km away from Dalongwan scenic area. The whole length of the river is 5km, the valley drop is 33.8m, the average width of the river is 5.6m, the average water depth is 80cm, and the river runoff is 3.5m/s.
