Wanfo temple is located in dahuoshan, Baima Township, Luojiang District, Deyang City, Sichuan Province. It is also called "Luozhen Temple" or "Luozhen Temple". It was built in the seventh year of the reign of emperor Yuanhe of the Tang Dynasty (812). It was rebuilt in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The existing building was rebuilt in the reign of Emperor Kangxi (1662-1722).

Historical origin

Wanfo temple is located in dahuoshan, Baima Township, Luojiang District, Deyang City, Sichuan Province. It is also called "Luozhen Temple" or "Luozhen Temple". It was built in the seventh year of the reign of emperor Yuanhe of the Tang Dynasty (812). It was rebuilt in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. architectural style

Wanfo temple is built on the mountain. It is divided into six parts and gradually rises.

The first is the stone archway, which is engraved with the four characters "Wuchan Wonderland". The whole archway is magnificent and exquisite.

The second is zhengshanmen, which is in the shape of eight characters.

The third is Wenwu hall, with double eaves and mountain roof. The fourth is Jieyin temple. The fifth is Guanyin hall, which is for Guanyin. The sixth tower forest is the monk's tomb.

The whole temple of Wanfo temple is spacious and bright, and the East and west sides of each hall are connected by wing rooms.

The scale

Wanfo temple covers an area of more than 70 mu, of which the temple building area is more than 1500 square meters. There are two Buddhist scriptures in the temple: Dazheng collection and Zhonghua Dazangjing. There are 11 stone inscriptions such as Luohan stone tablet, Li Diaoyuan stone tablet, Tianji stone tablet, Xingping stone tablet and Jianwu stone tablet.

Wanfo temple has two inscribed tablets written in Ming and Qing Dynasty family letters. Other cultural relics include: stone lion, stone Buddha of Tang Dynasty, iron lion, incense burner, stone pagoda, etc. There is a ginkgo tree growing in the temple, which is 12 meters in circumference and 32 meters in height. It is hollow and can hold a round table for more than ten people.

Abbot of the temple

The famous founder group of Wanfo temple is old, and the famous abbot is Fuxian. At present, abbot Haishan is 70 years old. He is a native of Xichong, Sichuan. He is the executive director of China Buddhist Association, member of the education system committee, vice president of the provincial Buddhist Association, acting president of the provincial Buddhist College, President of Deyang Buddhist Association and member of the provincial CPPCC.

At present, master Jixi, 69, a native of Mingshan, Sichuan, is a member of Luojiang CPPCC.
