Taozhu scenic spot

Taozhu scenic spot is a provincial scenic spot. It is composed of Taozhu, the ancient Anti Japanese city, coral rock, xiaoyandang, wukeng, bathing beach and many other landscapes. It covers an area of about 150 square kilometers and has more than 200 scenic spots. Wen Tianxiang in Song Dynasty called it "the land of fairies on the sea", while Feng Geng Xue in Qing Dynasty praised it as "the southeast of scenery". The scenic spot integrates peak, cave, stone, waterfall and beach, and is known as "five unique" scenery.

history

Taozhu Anti Japanese ancient city was built in the Hongwu Period of Ming Dynasty. It is two Zhang and one foot high, surrounded by two Li and seventy steps. It is the only well preserved one of the 41 garrisons in the southeast coast of Zhejiang Province in Ming Dynasty. Qi Jiguang, a famous Anti Japanese general, had been defeated by Japanese pirates in this area for many times. Inside and outside the ancient city, there are many historic sites and beautiful scenery. There are inscriptions of "Liaoyuan" and "Zhenhai" on Housuo mountain, anti Japanese pavilion, enemy tower and beacon tower at the top. There are anti Japanese exhibition hall, ancient city street and so on. In the south of the city, there are Shizhu peak, thirteen Zhus of Taojiang River and wukeng scenic spot, connecting Furong and Baiyan mountain. It integrates the ancient city of Ming Dynasty, the hundred million year old volcano and the idyllic scenery.

Tourism development

The dakantou coral group is located in dakantou, which is more than ten kilometers away from Taozhu. The total area of coral rock is about 5 square kilometers, which is a typical representative of volcanic lava landform. In the 1980s, pterosaur fossils ranging from 70 million to 180 million years ago were found here. This is the first discovery of pterosaur in Jiangnan, and it is also rare in China. It is of great value for the study of ancient climate and geology and geomorphology in southeast coastal areas of China.

Wukeng, located in Lianpan township near Taozhu, is a platform, peak cluster and isolated peak formed by volcanic lava 100 million years ago, just like Qiongtai jade Pavilion, a fairyland on earth. The mountain is not high but the peak is strange, the road is not steep but the cliff is precipitous, small and beautiful, gentle and majestic. Surrounded by cliffs, the valleys are quiet, and dozens of peaks and rocks are high and strange. Tiger, tortoise, zhanqifeng, xianrendan and other forms are lifelike. Lianhui, Zhuchuang, Yujing and other caves have their own characteristics, and the flame mountain waterfall and Pearl Waterfall are beautiful.

Shizhuling peak is located 2km away from Taozhu town. It is 141.81m high. It is flat on the top and cut down on the bottom. The jade is rugged and majestic. There is a small stone pillar behind it. It is connected with low hills and looks like a camel lying still. At the foot of the peak, there are thirteen islets on the Taojiang River, winding and embracing Zhouzhu in the water, which looks like "Jiulong Xizhu". Idyllic scenery, picturesque. There are jiangjunyan, yuhuyan, Erhao mountaineering, longzhanyao, Mingxia and Luoyue caves nearby. In the west, there are beautiful Furong mountain, majestic Baiyan mountain, grotesque rocks, dense forests and unique caves.

Transportation: 1. From Jiaojiang ferry to qiansuo in Jiaobei, or take bus No.138 and No.136 to qiansuo station, take the minibus from qiansuo to Sicha, and then transfer to Sicha to Taozhu.

2. In Linhai City, you can take a through train from Linhai to Sicha via Taozhu scenic spot.
