Memorial forest of the New Fourth Army

Anhui patriotism education base. Located in the east of Huainan City. National Highway 206 passes through the border. It's 15 kilometers from the city center. It is a tourist attraction integrating commemoration, education and leisure. In October 2002, it was jointly proposed by the Huainan New Fourth Army history research association and the Party History Research Office of Huainan Municipal Party committee.

With a total area of 43333 square meters, the whole forest area is divided into four parts by a cross shaped road. Due to the 10 meter gap between Huaguo Mountain top and the road surface, the main road is equipped with 37 steps and five platforms. The number of steps symbolizes the outbreak of the Anti Japanese war in 1937. On both sides of the main road are inlaid with chronological memorabilia of the New Fourth Army and biographical inscriptions of famous generals of the New Fourth Army. The top is a 20 × 20 meter central plane On the front, there are nine characters: "the spirit of the New Fourth Army will shine forever." on the back, there is a brief introduction of the New Fourth Army, which describes the New Fourth Army's bloody struggle. The New Fourth Army memorial forest scenic spot is a treasure house of historical knowledge of the New Fourth Army, a good classroom for patriotism education, and a good place for people to take the oath of joining the party and the league.
