Guilin Art Museum

Guilin art museum was built by the famous dramatist Ouyang Yuqian in early 1944 to develop the Anti Japanese war drama movement. Today, Taiwan investment has been introduced, and the interior has been fully modern decorated. It is named "luxury palace". The palace has been equipped with air conditioning, which is full of the spirit of the times.

Guilin Art Museum

The Guangxi Provincial Museum of art, now located at No. 15, Jiefang West Road, Guilin City, is a well-known Chinese Dramatist Ouyang Yuqian. It was founded in April 1943 and completed in February 1944. The opening ceremony of the first southwest drama exhibition and the completion ceremony of the Guangxi Provincial Museum of art were held on February 15. In the autumn of 1944, the Japanese army invaded Hunan and Guangxi, the staff of the art museum withdrew to Huangyao, Zhaoping, and the art museum was destroyed by war. After the victory of the Anti Japanese War, the original site was rebuilt by Huaxia Construction Company in 1946 according to the original design drawings. Guangxi Provincial Museum of art is an art institution set up by a group of progressive intellectuals in Guilin during the Anti Japanese war. It has played a positive role in the innovation of GUI opera and the promotion of Guangxi opera, fine arts, music and other arts. It is "the first professional theater of drama in China" and is known as "the first great building in the history of Chinese drama". In the special era of war, Guangxi provincial art museum also became the base of Anti Japanese War writers and artists, the cultural focus of progressive forces during the Anti Japanese War, and the cultural coordinate of Guilin cultural city at that time.

Architectural pattern

Located at the junction of Jiefang West Road and Rongyin Road, formerly known as Guangxi Provincial Art Museum, it was built by Ouyang Yuqian. It was once used as the venue for the performance of "the first southwest drama Exhibition" which shocked China and foreign countries during the Anti Japanese war. It was destroyed in the war and rebuilt in 1947. The theater is of brick and wood structure, made of red bricks. Although it has been repaired several times, it still retains its original appearance. It is a cultural relic protection unit of the city. The design of the theater meets the performance requirements. The top height of the stage is 22 meters, the height of the overpass is 14 meters, the height of the platform is 8 meters, the depth of the platform is 15 meters, the width of the platform is 12 meters, and the auxiliary platform is 15 meters. It has a very good sound effect. Under the stage is the dressing room and the music pool. There are 603 auditoriums in the auditorium.
