Zhangjiakou Zhuolu Huangdi City

Huangdi City, also known as Xuanyuan City, is located 50 meters north of Sanbao village, Fanshan Town, Zhuolu county. According to the records of the historian, after the Yellow Emperor killed Chiyou and subdued the Yellow Emperor, the capital was built on the flat land at the foot of Zhuolu mountain. It is said that Huangdi city is the capital of Huaxia built by Huangdi. Huangdi city is an irregular square Rammed Earth City, 450-500 meters wide from east to west and 510-540 meters long from north to south. The remaining wall is 5-10 meters high, about 10 meters thick at the bottom and about 3 meters thick at the top. A large number of pottery and stone tools have been found in the site, which are typical of Yangshao culture and Longshan culture about 5000 years ago, consistent with the age of the Yellow Emperor. The ancient remains of huangdiquan, Chiyou sanzhai, Chiyou tomb, shangxiaqiqi, etc. of Qinshihuang and other emperors are still well preserved, which provides unique conditions for the study of the three cultural ancestors of Huangdi, Yandi and Chiyou. The memorial hall of the three ancestors of the Chinese nation, which was built with donations from overseas Chinese, is simple and dignified. It shows the great achievements of the three human ancestors, Huangdi, Yandi and Chiyou, and reflects the strong cohesion of the Chinese people at home and abroad to the Chinese civilization. The Chinese three ancestors hall adopts the architectural style of Tang Dynasty, in which there are large statues of Huangdi, Yandi and Chiyou. It also lists the stone axes, pottery spinning wheels, stone arrowheads and other early human products and war weapons unearthed in Zhuolu. The walls are painted with large murals of four major historical events: the battle of Zhuolu, the battle of banquan, Busan and Zhuolu. With Huangdi City, Huangdi spring, Chiyou village and Chiyou spring as the main scenic spots, more and more Chinese people come here to seek their roots and worship their ancestors.
