Trinity International Church

"Trinity international chapel" was originally called "Trinity Church". Founded in 1903, the old church is located at No. 218, yuanwucheng Road, Kunming city. After completion, it will become the activity center of Yunnan Christian "inland society". The front street is the chapel, and the backyard is the housing for the pastoral staff. The chapel is divided into three small buildings facing the street, the first floor is the corridor, the second floor is the two offices and the meeting place which can accommodate thirty or forty people, and the third floor is the office. The main church can hold four or five hundred people. In 1963, the three self patriotic Christian Movement Committee of Yunnan Province was established, and its office is located in the "Trinity Church". In December 1984, the Church of Trinity resumed worship. In 1986, it became the office of the "two churches" in Yunnan Province.

In December 1984, the Trinity temple was restored. In 1986, it became the office of the "two churches" in Yunnan Province. In February 1997, the "Trinity hall" was demolished due to the need of widening the road in Kunming urban construction. On June 22, 2003, the foundation of the new church complex was laid and the building was renamed "Trinity international chapel". It was finally completed in December 2004, and the opening thanksgiving service was held on December 12.

The church complex is of Gothic architectural style, with a building area of 4018 square meters. The new church is located on the 1st-3rd floors of the church complex, with a building area of 2000 square meters. The 4th-7th floor is the Ministry Center of the "two churches" in Yunnan Province. The total investment of the church complex is 15 million yuan.

Nearly eight years after the demolition, we successively rented the May Day cinema, Yuantong cinema, Daguan cinema, Gordon building and the church site for open-air worship. In these eight years, we went through too many difficulties, and the majority of believers cried and prayed for the early completion of the new church. With the concern and support of the provincial Party committee, the provincial government, the competent departments and all walks of life, the foundation stone laying ceremony of the new church complex was finally held on June 22, 2003, and it was announced that with the approval of the Religious Affairs Bureau of the provincial people's government, the new church was renamed "Trinity international chapel". After a year and a half of hard work, the project was finally completed in December 2004, and the opening thanksgiving service was held on December 12. From 1984 to the end of 2006, there were more than 10000 baptized believers in Trinity international chapel. Now, more than 4000 people attend every Sunday worship. In 2005, 500 people were baptized, and another 400 people were baptized in 2006. There are 8 full-time workers, including 3 priests, 4 preachers and 1 cashier. According to the development of the church, the number of believers is still increasing.

The new "Trinity international chapel" is bathed in the abundant grace of God and is ready to meet the new mission of the 21st century. We will unite as one, love each other and revive the holy work of God together. May this temple be holy to the Lord. May everyone enter the temple and "come to the Lord like a living stone, and be built into a spiritual palace for holy priests to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ" (Tim. 2:50). May the grace, peace and abundance of the LORD be added to us.
