Zhanghu Manor

Zhanghu manor is located at the entrance of Xuehua Cave Scenic Area in Gongyi. It is one of the three manors in Gongyi. It is the Sixth Batch of key cultural relics protection units announced by the provincial government. Also known as "Bo Mao residential group", "Zhang Gao Manor". Zhang Hu graduated from Beijing law and politics school in 1915 and became a well-known tycoon. He was more famous than his Uncle Zhang you. The manor was built at the end of the Qing Dynasty. Because of the lush branches of an ancient cypress tree on the top of the kiln in his early years, it was named "Baimao". From south to north, the residential complex was divided into baimaoyuan, baimaoren, baimaoxin, baimaoyong, baimaohe There are six large residential buildings in baimaoheng, including 13 courtyards, more than 80 buildings and more than 30 caves. Among them, "baimaoyuan" mansion is very spectacular, including six courtyards. 1、 The second courtyard is a two-way quadrangle. The main building is three veranda roof buildings, with brick and wood structure, four slopes and seven ridges, and tube tile roof. The middle building is shared by all, and its front and rear walls have doors and windows, and its southeast, northwest and four sides are unobstructed. On the west side of each building, a three storey kiln building is built on the east side of the mountain. Each kiln building has three holes of brick. The first floor of the building and the cave are 2 meters out of the eaves. Under the eaves, there are stone columns, on which are engraved words, flowers and figures. The second and third floors of the cave are for balcony, which are retreated 3 meters in turn. The third floor caves are connected by brick ear canals, and the upper and lower caves are connected by brick steps. The third courtyard and the fourth courtyard each have three storeys of kiln buildings, with a total of 13 caves. In the southwest corner of the manor, there is a "watchhouse", square, four story, flat top, spectacular. Looking from a high altitude, the whole manor can be described as magnificent, elegant, landscape dependent, heaven and earth reflecting each other. The characteristics of the dwellings in the northern region and the loess high slope, such as building caves on the mountain and building buildings on the street, are very obvious. In 1944, the headquarters of the third regiment of the West Henan Anti Japanese Independent detachment of the army and the office of the West Henan Administrative Commissioner of the Eighth Route Army were stationed here.

Located in liulimiaogou village, Xinzhong Town, 30km east of Gongyi City, there is a cypress tree on the top of the kiln, which is also called "Baimao" residential group.
