Yan Fu's tomb is located at the eastern foot of North Aotou, Yangqi village, Gaishan Town, the suburb of Fuzhou City. The tomb is 34 degrees from west to east by North. It is of granite structure and Ruyi shape. It has three layers and covers an area of only 200 square meters. The earth was sealed with three kinds of soil. Before the earth was sealed, a blue stone tombstone was erected. In regular script, it was engraved with the inscription: "the life domain of the Marquis of the Qing Dynasty, Mr. Yan Jidao.". Yan Fu (from January 8, 1854 to October 27, 1921) was born in Fujian Marquis (later incorporated into Fujian county, known as Marquis of Fujian, now Fuzhou City). Modern Chinese Enlightenment thinkers and translators.

Yan Fu systematically introduced western sociology, political science, political economy, philosophy and natural science to China. He translated such works as Tianyan Lun, Yuanfu, Qun Xue chuiyan, Qun Ji Quan Jie Lun, Shi Tong Quan, FA Yi, Mingxue Shuo, and Mueller Mingxue. His translation had a great influence at that time and was the most important enlightenment translation in China in the 20th century. Yan Fu's translation standard of "faithfulness, expressiveness and elegance" has a far-reaching impact on later translation work.

In 1910, Yan Fu buried his deceased wife Wang and ordered his eldest son Yan Boyu to supervise the construction of the tomb. Yan Fu wrote his own tombstone and horizontal screen of "Wei Shi Zhi an". In 1921, Yan Fu died of illness and was buried here. Chen Baochen wrote an epitaph for him, saying: "Qishan dragon crossing the east of the Yangtze River, Yuping towering Zhang Ling this bell. In 1961, it was announced as a municipal cultural relics protection unit. In the 1970s, the environment around the tomb was seriously damaged. From 1984 to 1988, with the support of Shangqi village committee, Yan Yiyun, the eldest granddaughter of Yan Fu in the United States, received funds from the cultural relics administrative department of Fujian Province and remitted money to restore the original tomb. Taking the original tomb as the center, a brick wall with a height of 2.3 meters was built on both sides and the back of the tomb. A stone wall with a length of 40 meters and a height of more than 2 meters was built in front of the tomb, The cemetery is 40 meters wide and 42 meters deep. And planted magnolia trees in the cemetery. In 1986, it was announced as a cultural relic protection unit at the provincial level. In 2000, the cemetery was rebuilt and the corridor road was paved.
