Starlight is one of the 19 storey commercial buildings in Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong. Star house is built by Kowloon land company, which is invested by businessmen such as Mr. Fok Ying Tung, Mr. Ho, Mr. ho Tim, Mr. Kwan Kai Ming, Mr. Chung Ming Hui and three consortia. The building was completed in 1964. It is one of the commercial buildings in Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong. It is 19 stories high and adjacent to star ferry terminal in Tsim Sha Tsui.
Most of the units in the star house can enjoy the sea view of Victoria Harbour.
Xingguangxing used to be a tourist shopping mall under jiulongcang, but it was later rebuilt. In 1967, it was renamed "Kowloon commercial building", and then it was renamed xingguangxing. Its name has been used to this day. In the early years, xingguangxing faced the Tsim Sha Tsui railway station which has been demolished today, leaving only the clock tower.
The new Hong Kong Museum (now the Hong Kong Museum of History) was rented by the Hong Kong Municipal Council in 1975 and moved out in 1983.
Xingguangxing is a popular shopping place with a large-scale shop of China Arts (Hong Kong) selling traditional Chinese crafts, computers and books and magazines from all over the world. In addition, there are a variety of Chinese and Western restaurants to choose from.
