Songjiang Xilin tower
Songjiang Xilin pagoda is located in the west side of Songjiang District. It was built in Xianchun period of Southern Song Dynasty. It is called "chongenzhu pagoda" and commonly known as "Xilin pagoda". In 1387, it was rebuilt and renamed Yuanying tower. The pagoda is of brick and wood structure, seven octagonal shape. The brick body of the pagoda is still intact, the waist eaves are flat, the railings have been removed, and the people's government has allocated funds to repair it. The Xilin pagoda has been restored to its original appearance.
