Exhibitions and collections
Chen Yun's handwriting
This is the handwriting written by Chen Yun to Yu Ruomu when he was 85 years old. It is now collected in Chen Yun Memorial Hall. The handwriting was written on white rice paper 64 cm long and 34 cm wide, and it was well preserved. Comrade Chen Yun has been practicing calligraphy since he was 80 years old, and his schedule at home is quite full. Every morning, I can always see him standing in front of the table, calm and relaxed, with his wrist hanging in the air, practicing calligraphy with a brush. Until he was 90 years old, he always insisted on practicing calligraphy. Although he was old, he practiced very hard. The time of each exercise was about half an hour at the beginning. Later, because of the old age, the standing time should not be too long, so according to the doctor's advice, it was shortened to about 20 minutes, and finally it was reduced to 10 minutes. Regardless of the length of time, Chen Yun just picked up the pen and devoted himself to practicing calligraphy. He was also very modest. From time to time, he invited his family members and the staff around him to judge and ask them to point out their shortcomings so as to continue to improve.
This is the most effective way for him to exercise his will, strengthen his body and overcome his illness.
wheelchair
Chen Yun has always insisted on not taking a wheelchair, he said: "as long as you sit on the wheelchair, you can't get off." It was only after Chen Yun was 85 years old that he had to be in a wheelchair for physical reasons. Chen Yun first used a wheelchair in 1990. In the winter of this year, Chen Yun went to Shanghai to recuperate as usual. Because of physical reasons, experts suggest that you must use a wheelchair when you get on and off the plane to save energy. The day before he left for Shanghai, Chen Yun insisted on walking up the stairs in the basement to see if he could not use a wheelchair. As a result, Chen Yun's heart rate was faster when he went up the stairs. Back in his room, he felt very tired, so he had to obey the arrangement and agreed to get on and off the plane in a wheelchair.
The wheelchair was presented to Chen Yun by Ni Zhifu, then chairman of the all China Federation of trade unions. It can freely adjust the angle of the chair back and pedal. When the chair back and pedal are in normal sitting position, it is about 155 cm long, 71 cm wide and 118 cm high. The chair body is made of stainless steel, the back and cushion are made of sponge spring, and the round wheels on both sides of the armrest are used to adjust the angle of the chair back and pedal. Chen Yun usually lies on it to check his teeth.
The wheelchair was found in the storage room of Chen Yun's bedroom and arrived at Chen Yun Memorial Hall in early January 2007.
Stethoscope
Comrade Chen Yun was in poor health in his later years, and the old people were used to the life in his hometown. At the suggestion of the medical team, Chen Yun came to Shanghai to recuperate around the Spring Festival from 1990 to 1994. During this period, Huadong Hospital organized a medical team to take charge of Chen Yun's medical care. Dr. Sun Shoujuan was selected to stay at Comrade Chen Yun's residence to observe his condition. This stethoscope was used by Dr. Sun and health care doctors from Beijing once a week to auscultate Chen Yun. When Comrade Chen Yun suffered from respiratory tract infection, doctors used it every day to understand Chen Yun's heart and lung conditions until the lung inflammation was controlled and recovered. During the medical treatment, Comrade Chen Yun was very cooperative with the medical staff. The medical staff have great respect and deep feelings for him. Some of the medical instruments he used are still preserved. To commemorate the 100th anniversary of Chen Yun's birth, Dr. Sun Shoujuan donated this stethoscope to our museum.
Pipa, music score
Chen Yun loved Pingtan all his life. In the summer of 1959, he began to learn to play the pipa. At his own expense, he invited Zhou Yunrui and Zhu Jiesheng from the Shanghai People's Pingtan troupe to be teachers. Zhou Yunrui not only instructed Chen Yun to practice fingering, but also compiled music scores for Chen Yun to practice. In order to find the right finger position, Chen Yun specially wrote the notation on the Pipa and practiced it in front of the mirror. This is the Pipa and music score used by Chen Yun.
"Red flag" car
This is the "red flag" car that Comrade Chen Yun took in state affairs activities since 1978. The car was produced by Changchun First Automobile factory and left the factory in 1978. The car body is black, the model is CA770, and the production serial number is 0639.
