In September 2017, Huangqian reservoir was officially renamed as Tianlong lake, which was built in 1958, connecting Daqingshan in the north, wojiao mountain in the south, Taishan in the West and Heishan in the East. It is the main drinking water source of Taicheng. Since 1992, it has been supplying water to Taicheng, with a daily water supply of more than 100000 tons, accounting for 80% of the total water consumption of Taicheng.

In 2012, Tianlong lake was named as "yellow catfish germplasm resources reserve" by Shandong Ocean and Fisheries Department. In 2013, it was listed as a National Germplasm protection area.

Tianlong Lake (formerly Huangqian reservoir) is located in the eastern foot of Mount Tai, 18 kilometers away from Tai'an City and 60 kilometers away from Jinan.

In 2013, it was listed as a National Germplasm protection area with an annual yield of 7500kg. As an important water source in Tai'an City, it is very important to protect the ecological environment of Tianlong lake. The key to water source protection is to grasp the law of ecological construction, which requires the same desire, joint management and planning guidance. Specifically speaking, it is to promote the water source protection and economic transformation and upgrading, structural adjustment, poverty alleviation, safety production and other work as a whole, establish ecological compensation mechanism on the basis of the establishment of water source protection area, and develop ecological agriculture such as vegetable and fruit planting and seedling cultivation, so as to find a new way suitable for the actual and green development of Huangqian.
