Zhang Lun's tomb

Zhanglun tomb is one of the largest tombs in Yueqing City.

The ancient trees on both sides of the road are towering. Zhang Lun's tomb was built in 1487, the 23rd year of Chenghua, Xianzong, Ming Dynasty. In 1988, a new stele of Wu Tongpu with Zhang Zhongyi's official seal was built. In 1990, the stele square was rebuilt.

Zhang Lun was born in 1413. In the third year of Zhengtong (1438), he won the first place in the provincial examination. In the palace examination, he got three candidates in the second grade. In the sixth year, he was released from prison and promoted to the Minister of rites. He was known as a "loyal minister". In 1476, he resigned and returned to his hometown. He died in 1483 and was granted the title of "Gongyi" by Emperor Xianzong. There is a couplet in front of the tomb of Zhang Gongyi: "the iron bone is buried in the earth under the spring, and the stone intestines are turned into the center of the tomb", which reveals the unyielding spirit of the loyal ministers of this generation.
