Huangpi Temple

Huangpi temple is located in Huangpi village, Xixia township. On November 19, 1929, the CPC Yongjia Central County Committee led the rioting peasants to set up a revolutionary committee and Red Army guerrillas in Xixia. The poor peasants in Huangpi village joined the army enthusiastically. On February 3 of the following year, the Red Army guerrillas, with the support of the Yellow revolutionary masses, defeated the local militia in Xianju 18. In early March, the Central Military Commission sent Hu gongmian to southern Zhejiang to lead the armed struggle, gathered the peasant armed forces from Yongjia, Xianju and other places to reorganize in Huangpi temple, and established the general guerrilla headquarters of the Red Army in southern Zhejiang, with Hu as the commander in chief and Liu Feixiong as the chief of staff.

Huangpi temple was first built in the Northern Song Dynasty. The existing building belongs to the late Qing Dynasty, with a construction area of 4000 square meters. It is composed of 36 rooms, including the King Kong hall, the main hall and the two chambers. In 1992, it was listed as the third batch of cultural relics protection units in the county.
