LIULANG cave

LIULANG cave is located 79 kilometers west of Qiubei County, Yunnan Province, next to xiaojiangkou village, chongtou township. Liulangdong hydropower station, the first underground karst water power station in China, is built in the cave.

LIULANG cave is a karst landform. What's more amazing is the Wolong cave, which is 20 meters long and 1.5 meters high. On the inner wall of the cave, there are obvious traces of keel and dense dragon scales. The uncanny nature has created many wonderful landscapes, attracting many tourists to visit.

LIULANG cave

LIULANG cave is located 79 kilometers west of Qiubei County, Yunnan Province, next to xiaojiangkou village, chongtou township. Liulangdong hydropower station, the first underground karst water power station in China, is built in the cave.

It is said that Yang LIULANG, a famous general of the Northern Song Dynasty, had made great contributions in resisting Khitan. Later, he was slandered by Pan Renmei and led his troops to retreat to the southwest. He once stationed in this cave, so it is called "LIULANG cave".

LIULANG cave has abundant water, with a maximum flow of 92 cubic meters per second and an average annual flow of 23.2 cubic meters per second. In 1959, the state built a dam in the cave, forming a 30 meter deep underground reservoir, and built an underground hydropower station with an installed capacity of 12500 kilowatts per second.

The cave is wide, with a maximum of 30 meters. There are lots of stalactites, such as tripod, bell and mill. Birds and animals are lifelike. The cave is divided into two large chambers, which are connected with each other. Originally, it can travel freely, but now it is cut off by the underground reservoir. There is a horizontal tunnel with a height of 2 meters and a length of 300 meters in the upper part of the right main room, which is equipped with lighting and convenient for access. In the left chamber, there are stone troughs for Yang LIULANG to feed his horses, and the assembly hall (also called the parade platform).

1. Passenger shuttle bus

Kunming Qiubei Puzhehei: take the Kunming Qiubei bus at Kunming east bus station for about 300 kilometers. The departure time and ticket price are 9:00 (137 yuan), 10:00 (114 yuan), 11:00 (114 yuan), 12:30 (137 yuan), 14:00 (114 yuan), 20:10 (138 yuan) and 20:30 (138 yuan). The last two buses are sleeping berths and the other buses are seats. There are 13 buses from Qiubei County to Puzhehei scenic spot Li, you can also take the bus from Qiubei passenger station to Puzhehei, 8:00-17:30 every day, half an hour to an hour, the fare is 2 yuan

2. Airplanes

You can take a plane to Wenshan Puzhehei airport, which is located in Yanshan County, more than 80 kilometers away from the scenic spot. You need to Take Wenshan Qiubei bus (7:00-18:00, 10 minutes, fare 31 yuan) to Qiubei County, and then transfer to bus to Puzhehei scenic spot. It's troublesome. I don't recommend it. You can also take a taxi directly from the airport to Puzhehei at a cost of 100-200 yuan
