Gold Museum

The gold museum is a part of the gold museum park, which is located next to wukeng, Benshan, in the gold museum park, Jinguang Road, Jinguashi, Ruifang District, Xinbei city. The gold museum is the first ecological museum in Taiwan. It tells about the mining history and culture of Jinguashi, so that modern people can experience the past prosperity of Jinguashi Glory.

Self driving:

1. "National highway" NO.3: under the Binhai interchange (along the northeast coast index), connect with provincial road 2 Ding (ruiba highway) via Ruifang to Ruibin, and then connect with provincial road 2 eastbound to reach the gold museum.

2. Take No.2 Provincial Road (Beibin Road) to Ilan via Keelung City, then pass badouzi and Shenao to get to the gold museum.

3. "National highway" No.1: you can get to the gold museum from Ruifang warm interchange, turntable 2, Ding provincial road and Jiufen.

Public transport:

1. Train: take beihui railway, get off at Ruifang station, change to Keelung passenger line, and then go to Jinguashi to get to the gold museum.

2. Passenger transport: take the Keelung passenger transport coastal line next to Keelung railway station, and go to the direction of Jinguashi to get to the gold museum.

The total length of the tunnels in the whole Jinguashi area is more than 600 kilometers, and the depth reaches 132 meters below sea level. "Private gold smelting scenario simulation" - Jinguashi local gold smelting mostly uses cyanidation refining method, saying that gold miners who steal gold from mines are scattered flowers. The indigenous refining is different from Taiwan gold company's mechanized beneficiation and smelting, and the scenario simulation is ten times better "Allied POW camp" - in 1942, the British brought 523 prisoners of war captured in Singapore to Jinguashi. These prisoners were engaged in mining work during the Japanese occupation, a small amount of food rationing and poor environment. As a result, they died of illness or were too weak to work in the Liukeng mine of Benshan at 40 degrees centigrade. New prisoners of war came here one after another to replenish a total of 1135 prisoners of war I used to work for Japanese in Jinguashi. We can remember all these old things.

There is also a permanent exhibition on the second floor of the gold museum, with a total of three themes: "the use of gold" - to let people know what gold can be used in life and technology; "home" - home is an ecological work with 523 golden ants as the main body, each ant is lifelike, which makes people think it is a living ant; "big BRICs" - a big gold brick with a height of 220 kg of 999.9 pure gold won the Guinness world record in 2004. It may take 40 million tons of ore to excavate 220 kg of gold before it can be integrated. The third floor of the gold museum is the "gold panning experience area", which allows people to experience the fun of panning placer gold with gold panning plates. The park also provides small bottles for people to take the washed placer gold home.

The gold of Jinguashi makes the former Jinguashi prosperous and makes today's Jinguashi a good place for people's nostalgia. The appearance of Jinguashi's melon is the appearance of the whole mountain range, and the name comes from it.
