Shigu cold spring and inverted tower

The cold spring of stone drum, which was once listed as one of the eight scenic spots in the cloud, is located in these two caves. The stone drum refers to the first cave. If you knock on the ground, you will hear the sound of the drum, which is still vaguely audible. The cold spring is the thin spring at the foot of the outer rock of the second cave.

The two caves have a central tower, and their shape and layout are similar. The central tower pillars are all in the shape of imitation wood roof. Each corner of the tower is carved with an octagonal prism, which makes the tower more magnificent. The carvings of imitation wood buildings, such as roof shaped eaves, tile closure, bucket arch, etc., have a physical basis for the study of architecture in the Northern Wei Dynasty. Due to the weathering, the tower is called "upside down tower".
