Shitiao Bridge

Shitiao bridge, also known as dingbu bridge, was built in the Jiajing period of the Qing Dynasty, more than 200 years ago. Shitiao bridge is the most characteristic bridge in Huangyao ancient town. It is composed of 31 stone piers. The high stone piers are exposed to the water, and the low stone piers are buried below to support and fix. The distance between the 31 stone piers is arranged according to the walking steps, which is convenient for people to walk and does not affect the flood discharge.

Now the stone has been polished smooth, but still does not affect its beauty. Especially in the sun, shitiao bridge will show a hazy purple, especially beautiful. After touring the ancient town, most people will choose to jump over the stone bridge to finish their trip. A lift a step, hanging heart and joy, seems to worry in an instant jump away.
