Ancient city museum

The Chen Baozhen family of Fenghuang ancient city museum is located in Fenghuang ancient city, which is another cultural landscape of Fenghuang ancient city. The scope of the museum site is a part of Daotai Yamen in the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty, where Chen Baozhen lived in three generations.

There are more than 500 kinds of ore specimens and paleontological fossils from hundreds of millions of years ago in the museum. Through the three-dimensional sand table combined with Chinese and English translation, modern high-tech technologies such as electricity, light and sound are used to fully display the geological landforms of Fenghuang National Geopark, vividly show and reconstruct the whole process of earth evolution, rock formation evolution and biological evolution.

Ancient city museum

The ancient city museum, called "the ancient city", is actually a man-made ancient city gathering in the city by copying or moving the representative buildings in the history of Thailand. The ancient city was built in 1965, and the construction project is extremely numerous. It took 20 years, covering an area of 200 acres. Hailed as "Thai Disneyland" by tourists, it is the largest open-air museum in the world, located in Beilan Prefecture, 30 kilometers away from Bangkok.

Ancient city museum of Thailand

Surrounded by brick walls, the ancient city imitates the outline of the territory of Thailand and is shaped like an axe, so it is also known as "little Thailand". There are 75 imitations of the most famous temples, pagodas, monuments and other buildings in Thailand. There are also small markets composed of tall wooden houses built on the lake. All of them are arranged in the museum according to their original "geographical location", but some of them are disappeared Thai historic sites. After the archaeologist's textual research and the artist's efforts, it is elaborately made according to the true features of history and reappeared in front of people's eyes.

It doesn't take long for tourists to get a general picture of Thailand's history, culture and art since the Sukhothai Dynasty was founded in 1238. There are also several rural and market scenes in the ancient city. There are girls in ethnic costumes weaving, making umbrellas and handicrafts in the farmhouses, and men doing farm work and picking coconuts in the fields, showing the life style of Thailand's villages and towns. In the ancient city, there are more than ten groups of large sculptures made according to Buddhism and Thai folk traditions. In the northeast corner of the city, there is a wildlife park with many tropical wildlife.
