Hong Kong Island trail

Hong Kong Island trail

Hong Kong Island trail is the shortest of the four major hiking trails in Hong Kong, with a total length of 50 km and eight sections.

It starts from the top of the mountain in the west, ends at Dalang Bay in the East and crosses Hong Kong Island in the East and West.

Unlike the other three hiking trails, Hong Kong Island trail has no camping spots, which is not suitable for hiking / camping activities for several consecutive days. But because of its low difficulty, many people can finish it in one day.

The first section (peak section) is from Lufeng gorge to bofulin reservoir

The second section (Pokfulam section) is from Pokfulam reservoir to Peilu road

The third section (Aberdeen section) is from Bailu road to Aberdeen Reservoir Road

The fourth section (Wong Chuk Hang section) is from Aberdeen Reservoir Road to Wong Nai Chung gap (Mrs. Kim Chi Ma path)

The fifth section (Jardine mountain section) is from Wong Nai Chung gorge to Baijia mountain road
